The Volunteer Services Council of the Terrell State Hospital is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

MISSION: To seek and obtain goods, services, and monetary donations and provide personal attention for the benefit of the hospital's patients - above and beyond the care and treatment provided by the State.

Terrell State Hosptial:  Is an in-patient psychiatric hospital located in Terrell, Texas which is about 30 miles east of Dallas.  The average number of patients being served is 300+ and they come to us from 22 Texas counties.  The hospital is owned and operated by the State of Texas and is certified by Medicare and accreditied by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO).  The hospital employs over 800 staff.
